I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sue a few times over the last several years. Five years ago I adopted Brenna, a greyhound with severe fear reactivity to other dogs.
She was almost unmanageable at times– lunging and snarling at other dogs, and having a huge prey drive for any animals smaller than her. We were turned away from multiple other training groups and classes. No one wanted to work with us. Luckily for us, I contacted Sue and that was the best decision I’ve ever made. Her positive techniques and knowledge has allowed us to be where we are today.
Sometimes, just sometimes, if we allow it; our dogs become our teachers. And I couldn’t have had a better one. With Sue’s help and guidance, I’ve learned far more than I ever thought possible. Brenna now competes in and has earned titles in Scent Detection, and Barn Hunt.
She has earned her Canine Good Neighbor certificate and will be starting Rally Obedience this fall. She continues to improve every day and I couldn’t be more proud.
To say that Sue helped us is an understatement and I cannot thank her enough. We love her and I thank her from the bottom of my heart. We wouldn’t be where we are today without her.

We are first-time dog owners of our now three-year-old Great Dane Willow. Susan has been an empowering coach (and our saving grace!) from the very beginning, when we got Willow at 8 weeks old. Susan has always taken the time to listen to our concerns and adapt strategies as needed to fit our daily lifestyle. She’s helped us understand how Willow sees the world and why she behaves the way she does- and that makes it much easier to understand how to help her. We also got behind Susan’s positive reinforcement approach straight from the get-go. It just makes logical sense to us to raise our dog with motivation, not fear- and it’s worked! We’ve now recommended Susan’s services to many friends!

Susan Jordan. There are not enough words to tell anyone what an amazing trainer she is. I called her 5 years ago about my “stupid dog”. Lucien was 3 at the time and he would frequently hide under the bed or bark like a maniac when he would go outside into the yard. I swore up and down that he was dumb. Susan sat down with me and both of my dogs. She took a detailed history and started going over various training methods. Within a matter of 5 minutes, Susan had me teaching Lucien how to sit. So much for my stupid dog! I brought Susan back for training both of my dogs. As the weeks passed, the work continued, and both of my dogs thrived. 5 years later, I am still following Sue’s advice, and training methods. Lucien and Bella (8 and 13 now), have hiked 95 water falls over the last 5 years. It would not have been possible without her. My so-called stupid dog is brilliant.
I watched this scared, under confident dog turn into a shining star. He is brilliant and just needed someone to teach him what do to and how to do it. Susan is beyond knowledgeable, professional, and ethical. There is no one else that I would call for dog behavior or training advice. She looks at the big picture and advocates for our dogs. She is current on her knowledge and always there for her clients. Sue – Lucien, Bella and I thank you!
